* The Park Manager's decisions on park matters are final.
* These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice.
1. Booking and Payment
● A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
● All fees must be finalised prior to or upon check-in. This includes any outstanding
balance for your accommodation, as well as any additional fees.
● Site Fees include 2 Adults and 2 Children (between 3yo and 18yo, under 3yo free).
Additional adults and children (up to the maximum of 6 per site) will be charged at the
relevant fee.
● Cabin fees include 2 Adults. Additional adults and children (up to the maximum of 5
in the Cabin) will be charged at the relevant fee.
● Bookings must be made by an adult and guests under 18 must be accompanied by
an adult or legal guardian.
● Specials and discounts are available for longer stays. Be sure to inquire about any
specials or discounts and that may be available when you make your reservation.
● When making your booking, you will be asked to provide your credit card information.
Your credit card will be charged for the deposit amount at the time of booking. The
remaining balance is payable before or upon check-in.
2. Rebooking For Peak Bookings, Christmas, Easter, March LW and November
LW.
Re-booking the site for next year can only be made on departure and only for the
same dates, same site and same name, and cannot be made more than 12 months
in advance. If booking is not made within this time, the site will not be held. All re-
books will be subject to the following conditions:
a. Dates that are referred to for Peak bookings are 1st December through to 31st
January, Easter long weekend, March 8hr day weekend, November
Recreation day Weekend.
b. A deposit of one night’s payment at time of rebooking and 50% of total
rebooking before 1st May is required, with a non-refundable one-night fee for
cancellations made one month prior to arrival.
c. No refund for any cancellations made after this period.
d. Full payment is due one month prior to arrival.
e. Changes, cancellations, no-shows, or non-use of the site may result in
forfeiture of future booking privileges.
f. Regular yearly bookings may be deferred or decreased for 1 year at the Park
Manager’s discretion without losing future booking rights.
● All Bookings made in advance for after June each year may be subject to a rate
change as per Dorset Council budget adoption. Bookings will be adjusted
accordingly.
2. Check-In and Check-Out
1. Site Fees: (2A:2C)
○ Check-in time is 12 pm on the arrival date.
○ Check-out time is 10 am on the departure day.
2. Cabin Fees (2 people):
○ Check-in time is 2 pm on the arrival date.
○ Check-out time is 10 am on the departure day.
3. Overstay and Late Checkout:
○ Fees may apply for overstaying or late checkout beyond the specified check-
out time.
○ Prior arrangement with the Park Managers is required for overstay and late
checkout.
3. Site Occupation:
● Maximum occupancy is 6 people per site.
● Before setting up camp or engaging in any activities, take some time to familiarise
yourself with the site. This includes identifying potential hazards such as uneven
terrain, slippery surfaces, or overhanging branches.
● Occupancy of sites is at the guest's risk. The Park accepts no liability for loss or
damage due to fire, theft, accidents, natural events, or otherwise. This includes harm
to any of your party or visitors.
● Only one caravan/camper per site is permitted. Tents are allowed, provided
maximum occupancy is not exceeded.
● To comply with fire safety standards, a clearance of 2m between all caravans and or
tents is mandatory.
● Construction of barriers or encroachments onto adjacent sites is prohibited.
● Tent and annex pegs must be no longer than 300 mm to avoid damage to
underground services. This is to prevent the pegs from puncturing or damaging any
pipes or cables that may be buried underground.
● Star pickets are not allowed.
● No tarps or plastics are allowed on the ground, and only breathable ground mats are
to be used.
● Do not encroach on other sites, all of your equipment must stay within your site
boundary.
● Guests must keep their site clean and tidy and free from litter and take litter with
them on departure or place in bins provided.
● Powered sites require a 15 Amp power cord.
● Noise levels must be kept down, especially between 10pm and 8am. The Park
Managers may evict guests for unacceptable noise levels, language, or behaviour.
● Site requests are subject to availability and park logistics.
4. Vehicle Access:
● Speed Limit: Vehicles must not exceed walking speed within the park.
● Each campsite at the park is restricted to a maximum of two vehicles, or one vehicle
and one boat or jetski.
● Both vehicles must fit within the boundaries of the campsite.
● Guests with more than two vehicles or a vehicle and a boat or jetski must contact the
park in advance to make arrangements for additional parking.
● Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas and not landscaped areas.
● Vehicle access to the park is exclusively for paying patrons. Visitors' vehicles should
be parked in Bentley Street or designated adjacent car parks.
● Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their vehicles.
● The Park Managers may tow away any vehicles that are parked illegally or that are
causing a nuisance.
● Guests should be aware that the park is located in a residential area and should be
respectful of the neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.
● Guests should also be aware that the park is located near a busy road and should
take care when entering and exiting the park.
● Washing of cars or vans is prohibited within the park. Commercial facilities are
available at Bridport Service Station or Scottsdale Carwash.
5. Cancellations, Refunds, and No Shows:
Cancellations:
● For cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, a full
refund of the deposit will be provided.
● For cancellations made between 14 and 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, an
amount equivalent to one night accommodation will be taken to cover administration
and rebooking costs.
● For cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, no refund
of the deposit will be provided.
● Cancellations will automatically be stored as credit unless a guest specifically
requests a refund.
No Shows:
● No shows (not arriving on due date without any communication prior to due date) will
be charged the full amount of the reservation.
● No refunds will be provided for no shows.
Refunds:
● Guests may request that eligible cancellations be refunded rather than stored as
credit.
● Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation date.
● Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
● Unused funds may be (at the Park Manager’s discretion) credited for future
bookings (valid for 24 months).
Additional Cancellations, Refunds, and No Shows Conditions:
● In the event of a force majeure event, such as a natural disaster or a pandemic, the
Park Managers may offer more flexible cancellation policies.
6. Additional Conditions:
● Dump Point: Location is accessed through Entrance 4. Use of the designated dump
point is mandatory for portaloos and cassette toilets. Emptying of portaloos and
cassette toilets in public amenities is prohibited. Wastewater/grey water must be
disposed of in designated sullage pits. Disposal of wipes in the dump point is
prohibited.
● Riding of Skateboards, Bicycles, and Scooters: Permitted only on formal tracks,
respecting pedestrian safety. Helmets are mandatory. Riding in prohibited areas is
not allowed.
● Fish Cleaning is strictly prohibited within the park.
● Solid fuel fires are banned during Total Fire Ban Periods or as directed by the Park
Managers. Outside of these restrictions, fires are allowed in off-ground fire
pots/stoves only.
● Completely cold wood ash (only) may be spread under trees away from the
foreshore walking track, rather than being dumped in piles or in metal bins
provided around the park.
● Fire must be securely put out at the end of each use, no fire is permitted to be left
unattended at any time, no fire is permitted to be left burning overnight.
● Protection of Native Vegetation: Do not damage any trees, shrubs or other native
vegetation – this includes removing branches, cutting, pruning or ringbarking trees,
tying or nailing equipment (washing lines, annexes, etc) to trees etc.
● Generator and Power Tool Use: Prohibited within the park.
● Vehicle Repairs are generally not permitted. In certain circumstances the Park
Managers may provide approval.
● Vandalism and Safety: Report any vandalism or dangerous behaviour to the Park
office and/or Police. Guests may be evicted and charged for property damage.
● Use of amenities is for park patrons only. This ensures that only those who have paid
for a campsite use the facilities and amenities of the park.
● Public Amenities are available at Eastmans, Old Pier and the playground south of the
park.
● NO PETS OR ANIMALS are permitted in the Bridport Seaside Caravan Park during
Peak Season, per the Dog Control Act 2000 the minimum fine is $344 per animal.
Dogs are permitted during Off Peak season (Tuesday after Easter to 31 October)
with prior arrangement of the Park Managers.
7. Behaviour Standards and Park Conduct:
All Park guests must comply with these Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to
time.
Park guests must not engage in any unreasonable or anti-social behaviour in the Park.
Park guests are also responsible for ensuring that their guests, invitees, or visitors comply
with the terms of these Terms and Conditions and must take all reasonable steps to prevent
or address any breach, including removing them if requested by the Park Managers.
Unreasonable and anti-social behaviour includes but is not limited to:
● excessive noise or disruptive conduct; or
● verbal abuse, harassment or intimidation of other guests, staff, or members of the
public; or
● wilful damage to property or facilities; or
● threatening, aggressive or violent behaviour; or
● drunken or disorderly conduct; or
● use, possession, manufacture or supply of illegal drugs within the Park; or
● driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs within the Park; or
● any conduct which, in the reasonable opinion of the Park Managers, is likely to cause
distress, danger, nuisance or interfere with the quiet enjoyment of the Park by others.
●Park guests are obligated to report any instances of unreasonable or anti-social
behaviour to the Park Managers as soon as practicable after it is observed.
8. Responsibility and Liability:
Site Occupancy at Your Own Risk:
When you occupy a site, whether it's for camping, caravanning, or any other recreational
activity, it's essential to understand that you do so at your own risk. This means that the
Bridport Seaside Caravan Park is not legally responsible for any accidents, injuries, or
damages that occur while you're on the premises.
It's important to take necessary precautions to ensure your safety and well-being during your
stay. Here are some key things to keep in mind:
1. Familiarise Yourself with the Site:
Before setting up camp or engaging in any activities, take some time to familiarise yourself
with the site. This includes identifying potential hazards such as uneven terrain, slippery
surfaces, or overhanging branches.
2. Obey Safety Regulations:
Make sure you adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines posted on the site. These
regulations are designed to protect you and others from harm. For example, there may be
rules about campfires, swimming areas, or speed limits for vehicles.
3. Use Caution with Equipment:
If you're using any equipment, such as tents, stoves, or grills, ensure they are properly set
up and used according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure they are in good
condition and that you know how to operate them safely.
4. Supervise Children:
If you have children with you, keep a close eye on them at all times. Children may not be
aware of potential dangers and may need guidance to stay safe.
5. Be Aware of Weather Conditions:
Pay attention to weather forecasts and be prepared for changes in conditions. If severe
weather is expected, take necessary precautions such as seeking shelter or evacuating the

6. Report Hazards:
If you notice any hazards or unsafe conditions on the site, promptly report them to the Park
Managers. They can take appropriate action to address the issue.
7. Insurance Coverage:
Consider getting insurance coverage that specifically protects you and your belongings while
occupying a campsite. This can provide peace of mind and financial protection in case of an
accident or theft. Bridport Seaside Caravan Park cannot be held liable for any thefts, losses,
damage, etc
By following these guidelines and taking responsibility for your safety, you can minimise the
risks associated with site occupancy and enjoy a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience.
